Visualizing the Incident
Map technology provides public safety personnel with the ability to manage and analyze large amounts of location-based
information. Command Staff can more easily visualize spatial relationships and reveal trends critical to public safety
response and planning.
Computer-generated maps can be shared across the wireless mesh network with multiple agencies to coordinate efforts
and maximize resources. These maps can be displayed on laptops, mobile devices (PalmOS, WindowsCE) and cellular phones.
The Geospatial Mapping platform provides an unrivaled range of geoprocessing tools that can be used to add powerful
analytic capabilities to a core map display. These provide planning and intelligence personnel with a rich palette
of capabilities to support a wide range of decision support processes.
These tools allow for the compression of large volumes of data and integrated video content into meaningful information.
Command Staff and other personnel can be alerted to events which occur in defined areas of interest.
A rich set of analysis tools are available to further refine and locate Incident related information. By employing
forensic search capabilities directly from the map interface operators are able to quickly find the information that
is ‘hidden’ in the operational area.
